After graduating college, I moved to Eastern Oregon looking for adventures in the great outdoors. I hiked a lot of miles and worked with ranchers to improve their water footprints.
My time in the Three Sisters Mountains gave me a deep reverence for nature. I left Oregon for Southern California, where I climbed every rock face I could find, slept in my car in the Owens Valley at the base of the Eastern Sierra Nevadas, and completed a Master of Public Policy. Those years I also traveled all over the world to learn about sustainability solutions and immerse myself in nature. Then I moved back home to Montana. This move was purpose-driven—allowing me to apply my education and experience to pressing issues in my home state.
Looking ahead, I’m striving for more adventures in the mountains and to help our planet and its people in an increasingly complex world.
